Kissin’ Frogs

The Frog Twins would like to say this:

Sometimes ya gotta kiss a lotta frogs before you find just the right frog for you.

After quite an enjoyable afternoon on Toronto’s freeway system *cough* *cough* I came home without the spinning wheel. She’d clearly had a long and noble life, but someone had stored her badly, and not protected her from things that could hurt her. She was damaged in places that would be difficult to repair, and, oh, you get the general idea.

I haz a sad, as the lolkittehs say.

Meanwhile, may I distract you with a bunny picture? This little one lives in our backyard with a friend or two, and we have named her RacerBun, because of the long white stripes she has down either side:

The Buns appear at dawn and dusk, munching our weeds and helping to mow our lawn. Buddy the dog is entranced with them (from behind the glass door, of course), and when they are out, he cannot be moved from his post at the back door. At other times of the day, he sits hopefully, waiting for the Bunny Channel to come on.

No bunnies today though–they are all snug in their burrows, or so we hope. Thunderstorms, lightning, and rain, rain, rain.

A good day for knitting and spinning and reading…and coffee!

Ah…here comes the rain again.

The frogs (and the racing bunny) are extremely cute.

Sorry to hear the wheel didn’t work out.

You’ll find your magic wheel, I know you will. And I love the bunny – we have a large population of downtown bunnies here, living in scruffy weedy backlot places that don’t look like anywhere a bunny would want to live. Still, they’re much cuter than rats!

Oh, no. I was living vicariously through you and had already found a place for that wheel.

May you enjoy the hunt for the perfect wheel!
