Good Golly, Miss Molly, if I do not let the Giveaway Llama have her say, and have it RIGHT NOW, I will not be able to live with her a minute longer. The fuss that creature makes when I do not let her play on the blog, you wouldn’t believe! Apparently, I am worse than Scrooge these days in my failing to let her play the Giving Fairy with y’all. So, all right then, Llama girl, you’ve worn me down to a nubbity nub. Take the blog over, see if I care. Just clean up after yourself and give it back when you’re done.
yo.
finally.
i swear nothing gets done around here unless i do it myself. sure, she goes off on a trip to see sheep, but does she pay any attention to us camelids?
nooooo. and she calls herself the paca princess. phooey. she even spent time hugging a bunny last weekend. a bunny! not a noble beast such as i, simply a mere rabbit. just look at this pitiful creature:
and to think she almost came home with him.
she spent time hanging out with strange folk in little crowns;
eating yummy treats (and bringing none of them home to share, i might add);
and taking pictures of people wearing as many colours as they sell.
she even took photos of bugs. BUGS, PEOPLE.
honestly. bugs.
and all this, when i have such important news for you nice people:
it’s GIVEAWAY TIME! yay!
i have two, count them, two skeins of wonderful gorgeous yarn to give away! so this time, there will be two lucky winners, one for each skein.
isn’t that much more important than pictures of bunnies and bugs?
i certainly think so.
one skein is from the enchanting Ms. Jennifer of Holiday Yarns.
that’s her Silver Sock Yarn in Evergreen, 420 yds of 63% Superwash Merino, 20% silk, 15% Nylon, and 2% Genuine Sterling Silver. you can click the photo to see an up-close vision of how sparkly it is.
(Legally required blithering from Sandi: I do work with Jen, mostly designing patterns for her yarn lines and helping out in her booth at shows. She pays me separately for that stuff; any Giveaway Goodies are strictly her idea and her generous donations!)
the other skein is from the charming yarnscape who works her dyeing magic in the United Kingdom, where they are currently having a rather large party for someone named Elizabeth who wears a lot of fancy clothing and has to carry a frumpy bag wherever she goes.
as you can see, yarnscape’s yarn is anything but frumpy! this is her bunnylace yarn, in Delphinium; it is 500 metres (72.5 g) of 20% angora bunny and 80% wool. clicky, clicky, and you will see how pretty the colours are!
all you have to do for a chance at one of these gorgeous skeins is to leave a comment on this post. (look! i have my own page now, full of rules and legal stuff and a photo of me in my party outfit. the photo is the best part.)
sandi will use the magic random number generator twice to pick the winners in separate sessions, so everything is totally, truly random. (the exception: if you’ve won something before, you can’t win for another year or something like that. check out the rulez on My Very Own Llama Page. oh, and one person can’t win both the skeins. sorry. fair’s fair.)
so leave a comment! tell her how much you’d rather see pictures of meeee than of those silly sheep and all that other crazy stuff. (bugs!! i’m still getting over that one.)
she’ll close the voting when she wakes up on friday, june 8th, and then announce the winners in a post that same day! so you have all week to leave a comment. (did i mention i now have my very own page, all about me?)
yay for yarn prezzies coming in the mail! yay for llamas!
with llots of llama llove,
the giveaway llama
Sandi here again. Thank you SO MUCH to Jen (aka gwynivar on Ravelry) and Alison, (aka yarnscape) for their generosity and the gifts of their talents. There’s more good stuff on their websites, so if you don’t win, but want some of their good stuff, give them a virtual visit.
While pics of you are no doubt wonderful those moths are stunning!

Dear Giveaway LLama,
So good of you to “fill in” for Sandi. While I have to say I think that the bunnies, sheep and “bugs” are quite appealing and loveable, my heart belongs to you Dear Llama. Llamas are my favortie animal on earth. Thank you for encouraging Sandi to give away that beautiful, wonderful yarn. I would be happy with either skein. I love sparkles and what could be more sparkly then silver in a yarn? On the other hand the colors of the Bunnylace yarn are to die for! We’ll let the random number generastor choose —- one for me I hope!

Ms Llama, I do understand your concerns, but those bugs are endangered species and Sandi was so lucky to have seen them!! I think it’s okay that she petted a bunny too; they are soft and so cute. They don’t spit either, just a word to the wise…. But they don’t have your regal stance and gaze, of course! You are the standard of a luxury wool animal and so beautiful!

The purple yarn is awesome. The green is lovely too. The luna moths are fantastic. I have to admit I love looking at bug pictures. You don’t realize how amazing the critters are until you look at a bug magnified 500% on the computer screen. Of course, I enjoy seeing Ms. Llama, sheep and bunnies. Luna moths will not harm the yarn because poor things…they can’t eat a thing. Once the moths emerge from their pupa all they do is fly around trying to find a mate so procreation can take place and then it dies within 2 weeks of emerging. That is if it isn’t eaten by some hungry bird.
